About the position

The Catering & Food Truck Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, organization, training, and leadership necessary to achieve objectives in food truck and off-site catering sales, guest service, food quality, cleanliness, and sanitation. This role requires a qualified manager with experience in restaurant management to ensure a positive working environment and high customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the planning and organization of food truck and off-site catering operations.
  • Train and lead staff to achieve predetermined objectives in guest service and satisfaction.
  • Manage food truck events, ensuring proper setup, execution, and fulfillment of orders.
  • Maintain positive employee morale and oversee guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure food and products are prepared and served according to restaurant standards.
  • Understand and manage the restaurant's daily budget and profit & loss statements.
  • Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, and cleanliness through employee training.
  • Control cash and receipts by adhering to cash handling procedures.
  • Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards are met.
  • Develop staff in managerial and professional areas.
  • Inspect equipment to ensure cleanliness and working condition.
  • Ensure proper receiving of products and adherence to receiving policies.
  • Administer corrective actions for policy violations and ensure compliance with regulations.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in front or back of house operations.
  • Excellent basic math skills and ability to operate a cash register or POS system.
  • Ability to prepare food using a grill and fry station.
  • Ability to work in a standing position for long periods (up to 5 hours).
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Stamina to work 40 to 50 hours per week.
  • Valid driver's license and up-to-date car insurance.
