About the position

The Catering Banquet Manager at Legends is a key hospitality leader responsible for planning and executing special events catering at Raymond James Stadium. This role involves coordinating with various teams and clients to ensure high-quality service and an exceptional event experience, while managing staff and operational logistics.

Responsibilities

  • Provide catering clientele with comprehensive knowledge of menus, company policies, practices, and banquet operations.
  • Hire and train catering staff.
  • Ensure staffing schedules are completed and communicated for all catering events.
  • Complete weekly staff payroll.
  • Oversee the set-up and breakdown for all special event functions including space layout and design, equipment load-in, and staff assignments.
  • Oversee general cleaning tasks to adhere to health standards.
  • Coordinate with clients, facilities, and culinary staff to ensure an excellent event experience.
  • Create banquet event orders and estimation of charges for clients.
  • Coordinate vendors and/or rentals for events.
  • Receive invoices and balance event troubleshooting.
  • Provide documentation to the accounting department to generate a post-event invoice.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by Management.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years in a catering manager role.
  • Knowledge of premium services and catering for a sports and entertainment venue.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong commitment to delivering high-level customer and client service with demonstrated initiative, leadership, and management skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of food and beverage menu, specials, and services offered.
  • Ability to coach, train, and develop efficient and successful team members.
  • Ability to obtain food safety certification.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
  • Ability to read, speak, and write in English.
  • Knowledge of catering event and diagram software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to identify operational challenges and work with internal staff and clients to solve them.
