About the position

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Catering Manager to lead our catering operations and drive sales growth. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in B2B sales, with expertise in territory management and a proven track record in upselling and customer relationship management. This role requires a blend of strategic planning, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to foster relationships with clients to ensure successful catering events.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve catering revenue goals.
  • Manage all aspects of the catering process, from initial client contact through event execution.
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and potential clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through regular communication and follow-ups.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure menu offerings meet client expectations.
  • Oversee logistics for catering events, including staffing, equipment, and transportation needs.
  • Utilize software tools for tracking sales performance, managing client information, and scheduling events.
  • Provide training and support to team members on sales techniques and customer service best practices.
  • Conduct cold calling efforts to generate new leads within the assigned territory.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in B2B sales, preferably within the catering or hospitality industry.
  • Strong skills in territory sales management, both inside and outside sales.
  • Demonstrated ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining client satisfaction.
  • Familiarity with market trends related to catering services and event planning.
  • Proficient in using software tools for sales tracking and customer relationship management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong emphasis on customer service.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
