About the position

The Catering Manager at Pineapple Sol is responsible for overseeing the catering operations of a vibrant café known for its creative culinary offerings. This part-time role involves managing client inquiries, processing orders, and ensuring the flawless execution of catering events, with a focus on maintaining high standards of quality and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to client email inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Work with clients to understand their catering needs, including menu customization and event details.
  • Manage the intake and processing of orders, ensuring accuracy and clear documentation.
  • Confirm orders, timelines, and logistics with clients in advance of events.
  • Plan and oversee the preparation, assembly, and delivery of all catering orders, including charcuterie and dessert tables and corporate lunch boxes.
  • Coordinate staff assignments for events to ensure efficient setup and service.
  • Ensure that all catering presentations meet Pineapple Sol's high aesthetic and quality standards.
  • Manage delivery schedules, transportation logistics, and event setup to guarantee on-time execution.
  • Oversee inventory levels for catering supplies and ingredients, ensuring cost efficiency and availability.
  • Troubleshoot issues during events and resolve client concerns promptly.
  • Supervise, train, and motivate catering staff to maintain a high level of performance.
  • Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and quality of catering orders.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Act as the primary point of contact during events, ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Gather feedback from clients post-event to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in catering, event management, or hospitality is required.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction and team coordination.
  • Proven leadership abilities, including experience managing teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in email management, order tracking systems, and basic office software.
  • Food safety certification preferred.
