About the position

The Marketing and Catering Sales Manager is responsible for driving business development activities, focusing on increasing catering sales within assigned territories. This role involves executing sales and marketing strategies, building relationships with key accounts, and ensuring excellent customer service in the catering sector.

Responsibilities

  • Increase catering sales in all restaurants in assigned territory.
  • Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate advertising, merchandising, and trade promotion programs.
  • Prepare and complete sales action plans; implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.
  • Meet marketing and sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements and preparing an annual budget.
  • Maintain house accounts for assigned accounts, including collecting outstanding accounts receivables.
  • Identify consumer requirements and establish targeted market share.
  • Manage relationships with key accounts through periodic visits and identifying specific needs.
  • Achieve lead generation and prospecting goals through cold-calling and site visits.
  • Participate in sales blitz activities to generate new catering leads.
  • Provide excellent customer service through menu planning and order taking.
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems and developing solutions.
  • Drive strategic sales planning by collecting and analyzing data and trends.
  • Maintain customer database using CRM tools.
  • Facilitate calls with operations partners to align on local strategy.
  • Participate in quarterly catering business reviews with the Director of Catering.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of sales experience, preferably in business-to-business sales with a consultative approach.
  • Sales experience in a catering and/or restaurant environment is strongly desired.
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, persuasion, organization, and presentation skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Proficient with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
