Catering Sales Associate

About the position

The Catering Sales Associate at Potbelly is responsible for managing the order process from inquiry to execution, ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and organization. This role involves processing orders, responding to customer inquiries, and maintaining sales records, all while supporting the sales team and managing partnerships with schools and tour groups.

Responsibilities

• Process quotes, orders, forms, and applications for the sales department.
• Manage customer inquiries over the phone and by email as needed.
• Provide customers with product and service information.
• Maintain and update customer information in Salesforce and other systems.
• Follow up on customer calls and emails as necessary.
• Perform quarterly bonus audits as assigned.
• Assist with other department project work and sales support as assigned.
• Maintain master calendars for third-party school and tour partnerships.
• Confirm and work directly with large tour partnerships on catering orders.
• Process and confirm tour orders for various markets and assist with payment reconciliation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2-3 years of customer service experience in order entry for multi-unit operations.
• Experience in a call center and knowledge of call center telephony and technology.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Knowledge of Salesforce.com preferred.
• Strong data entry and typing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Organized, proactive, and possess a strong sense of urgency.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
