About the position
The Catering Sales Manager at Mercantile and Mash is responsible for driving sales growth and ensuring exceptional experiences for guests at the Indigo Road Hospitality Group's event venues. This role involves strategic planning, overseeing property-based sales teams, and collaborating with senior operations leaders to maximize revenue opportunities. The manager will inspire and develop a high-performing sales team while maintaining a positive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop sales growth strategies for driving total top line revenue generation for each business unit.
- Oversee and support the property-based sales teams to ensure effective selling processes are in place.
- Act as a task force manager at the unit level as needed.
- Support major and critical developing client accounts with the sales teams.
- Inspire the Sales team to work collaboratively toward a shared vision, providing mentoring and coaching.
- Build high performing, cohesive, customer-focused solutions sales teams.
- Identify, develop, and retain high performing sales professionals.
- Demonstrate integrity and ownership of personal and team actions, promoting collaboration and a positive work environment.
Requirements
- 2 years of sales experience required.
- College Degree or equivalent industry experience.
- Proven leadership skills.
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
- Strong supervisory and personnel management experience.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Strong ability to sell ideas.
- Ability to handle multiple ongoing projects in a fast-paced team environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team member.
