About the position

The Catering Sales Manager at OTO Development is responsible for soliciting new accounts and maintaining relationships with existing clients to drive sales for the hotel's catering services. This role involves generating leads, conducting site inspections, and managing the overall setup and implementation of events. The position requires strong communication and negotiation skills, as well as a passion for achieving sales goals in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Solicit new accounts and maintain relationships with existing accounts.
  • Generate a minimum of 50 calls weekly encompassing telemarketing, site inspections, and outside field calls with weekly documentation.
  • Responsible for prospecting, qualifying, selling, and closing.
  • Meet with or call individual, corporate, and social clients to solicit business.
  • Conduct professional site inspections of the hotel with clients.
  • Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients.
  • Develop client menus, write contracts and letters, and organize arrangements for events.
  • Continuously meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Supervise and attend the overall setup and implementation of events and meetings.
  • Process payments and provide prompt guest service with timely follow-up.
  • Participate as a team player and demonstrate hospitable behavior as a role model.
  • Develop full working knowledge of the operations of the Conference Center.

Requirements

  • Skilled communicator.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • College degree or equivalent experience.
