About the position

The position involves supervising, training, and managing the food service operation, ensuring that food is prepared and served in appropriate quantities while maintaining safety and quality standards. The role requires overseeing daily activities, maintaining inventory, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Produce and maintain work schedules and prepare production records.
  • Direct daily activities of the food service operation.
  • Maintain food production that ensures safety and quality according to policies and procedures.
  • Ensure food items are stored in a safe, organized, and hazard-free environment.
  • Maintain serving schedules and ensure food items are served per menu specifications.
  • Maintain a sanitary department following health and safety codes and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate inventory on a weekly basis according to departmental policies.
  • Prepare orders as needed per vendor to ensure accurate production for location.
  • Supervise and evaluate employees, promoting growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork.

Requirements

  • Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions.
  • Must complete a sanitation course either before or during the first year as a lead.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
  • Maintain emotional control under stress.
  • Ability to resolve interpersonal situations.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Minimum Education/Certification: High School Diploma/GED.
