The Catering Services Worker at Shenandoah University plays a crucial role in supporting the event operations team to ensure the successful execution of catering orders and events. This position involves a variety of tasks that are essential for the smooth running of events, including setting up catering services, transporting necessary equipment and supplies, serving guests, and cleaning up after events. The Catering Services Worker is expected to follow specific client or customer requests as outlined in the banquet event order, ensuring that all aspects of the catering service meet the required standards. In this role, the worker will be responsible for setting up chairs, tables, buffet lines, and other event equipment as specified in the event order. During events, they will replenish food and beverage products to ensure that guests are well served. Maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of food service areas is also a key responsibility, as is the breakdown and cleaning of the area after the event concludes. The Catering Services Worker must provide excellent customer service to all guests, ensuring a positive experience throughout the event. Additionally, adherence to safety policies and procedures is mandatory to ensure a safe working environment. At Aramark, the emphasis is on developing new skills and adapting to changing job duties as needed. Responsibilities

• Set up catering and event service according to client/customer requests and banquet event order
• Transport and deliver catering food and beverage with all vital supplies and equipment
• Set up chairs, tables, buffet lines and other event equipment as requested in banquet event order
• Replenish Food and Beverage products during events
• Maintain appearance and cleanliness of food service areas during events
• Pick up and clean up food and beverage deliveries after service
• Break down and clean area after the conclusion of the events and return equipment to accurate storage
• Provide excellent customer service to all guests
• Follow safety policies and procedures

Requirements

• Previous customer service experience preferred
• Previous catering experience preferred
• Demonstrate the ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Must follow the required dress code as assigned
• Must be available to work event-based hours
• Must be able to complete Food Handling and Alcohol Service training as required
