About the position

The Catering Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating all aspects of catering events, ensuring a positive guest experience and effective service execution. This role involves overseeing hourly catering team members and collaborating with various departments to meet event needs and maintain high service standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for all phases of catering events and coordination on the day of the event.
• Oversee hourly catering team members to ensure service execution of catered events.
• Coordinate activities with other internal departments and participate in management team meetings.
• Interface with vendors and key service users within the client organization.
• Work with Catering Managers to prepare performance objectives and evaluate service staff.
• Collaborate with clients and Catering Managers regarding event setup and execution.
• Manage and update Cater Trax catering software per client requests.
• Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback on food menus and specialty promotions.
• Ensure all events are set up and broken down according to site standards for accuracy and presentation.
• Manage catering inventory and respond to guest requests in a friendly and efficient manner.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in customer service within hospitality, food service, or retail environments.
• Previous experience supervising others.
• ServSafe Certification.
• Intermediate skill level using Google applications and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet time deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience using Cater Trax or similar catering software.
• Demonstrated experience in a high-stress environment.
