About the position

The Cath Lab RN (Interventional Radiology) position involves providing specialized nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology procedures. The role requires collaboration with cardiologists, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and well-being during these critical procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing patients for catheterization procedures
  • Monitor vital signs during procedures and provide immediate care in case of complications
  • Administer medications as prescribed by the physician
  • Educate patients on post-procedure care and recovery
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all documentation is up to date
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care

Requirements

  • Valid RN license in the state of practice
  • BLS and ACLS certification
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cath lab or interventional radiology setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures and interventional radiology techniques
