About the position

The Cath Lab RN at West Valley Medical Center is responsible for providing high-quality patient care during invasive cardiac, vascular, and interventional procedures. This role requires clinical competency, nursing judgment, and effective communication skills to ensure a collaborative approach to patient care. The RN will assist patients throughout the entire procedure process, manage emergent cases, and maintain accurate patient records.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all invasive cardiac, vascular, and interventional procedures in the cath lab.
• Provide patient monitoring and care during procedures such as cardiac catheterizations, pacemaker insertions, and angioplasties.
• Facilitate effective communication among departmental staff to ensure collaborative patient care.
• Manage emergent cases and maintain compliance with patient records and paperwork.
• Prepare tests for physician interpretation and assist patients through all aspects of the procedure.

Requirements

• Current State of Idaho RN license in good standing.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Two to three years of Cath Lab experience required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required within specified time frames.
• At least one year of Cath Lab experience or 2+ years of CV or ICU experience required.

Nice-to-haves

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within 90 days of hire.
