About the position

The CATIA Automation Engineer role focuses on automating complex design geometry within CATIA to enhance designer efficiency, output, and quality. The position involves developing design templates and automation tools using CATIA V5/3DExperience, applying programming skills to create automation solutions, and implementing Knowledgeware features to improve design processes.

Responsibilities

• Automate complex CATIA design geometry to improve designer efficiency, output, and quality.
• Utilize CATIA V5/3DExperience to develop design templates, automation tools, and layouts that streamline design processes.
• Apply programming skills in CATIA native VBA, VB.NET, VBScript, and CATScripts to create automation solutions within CATIA V5.
• Implement Knowledgeware features (UDF, Powercopy, EKL, Knowledge patterns, Optimizer, Rules, Reactions, etc.) within CATIA to enhance automation and design efficiency.
• Create detailed specifications for designer requirements and automation logic, develop clear documentation, and maintain a development schedule.

Requirements

• Extensive experience with CATIA V5/3DExperience for design and template development.
• Proficiency in CATIA design software, CATIA native VBA, VB.NET, VBScript, and CATScripts.
• Strong experience in Knowledgeware applications, including UDF, Powercopy, EKL, Knowledge patterns, Optimizer, Rules, and Reactions.
• Demonstrated experience in applying automation tools to CATIA V5, with an ability to standardize, optimize, and analyze design processes.
• Ability to create detailed specifications for automation logic and designer requirements.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Capable of setting and maintaining development schedules, as well as producing comprehensive documentation.
