About the position

The CBO Supervisor at Concentra is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Central Billing Office (CBO) department. This role focuses on ensuring productivity, managing accounts receivable, and maintaining compliance with policies and procedures. The supervisor will lead a team, coordinate activities, and establish relationships with key stakeholders to achieve financial goals and enhance customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day activities of the Central Billing Office staff.
  • Ensure maximum productivity and resolution of assigned projects.
  • Identify and analyze issues related to accounts receivable and customer service inquiries.
  • Coordinate, assign, audit, and supervise departmental work to meet productivity standards.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with managers and external payers.
  • Participate in weekly accounts receivable calls and coordinate activities with key staff.
  • Implement billing and receivables tracking systems to maximize collections.
  • Oversee monthly accounts receivable reporting requirements.
  • Supervise staff performance management, training, and development.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures and timely completion of month-end duties.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in accounting, finance, or business administration, or equivalent experience.
  • At least three years of progressive revenue cycle experience in accounts receivable, billing, or cash application.
  • At least six months of team leadership experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding customer service skills and ability to handle sensitive information.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of workers' compensation rules and regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience with accounting and financial reporting software.
