Forvia, a leader in sustainable mobility technology, is seeking a CBU Controller for its Clean Mobility Division located in Auburn Hills, MI. This pivotal role involves overseeing the financials of the CBU (Customer Business Unit) and acting as the primary liaison between the Finance team and the CBU team. The CBU Controller is responsible for ensuring reliable program profitability information through the management of the Strategic Plan, Budget-P, Forecast, Actual-P, and Squeeze processes by CBU. The position also entails managing the assigned Program Controller and ensuring that all financial-related procedures and tools are effectively implemented. The CBU Controller will develop, execute, and control internal finance procedures in accordance with Group policy, ensuring that site activities comply with Faurecia Finance-related procedures and the 11 internal control basics. Additionally, the role requires ensuring consistency and standardization of controlling processes across the Business Group and division. The CBU Controller's mission includes providing reliable financial and controlling information to management, managing acquisition, development, and serial programs at the CBU level, and leading all forecasting processes, including strategic plans, budgets, and periodic forecasts. The role also involves validating VAVE figures provided by the VAVE Director and ensuring accurate reporting for Actual and Forecast. The CBU reporting process, which includes P&L, P&L R&D, Squeeze, Overdue, and LTC, must be managed to ensure reliability, consistency, transparency, and compliance with deadlines. The CBU Controller will review and validate program margins with plants, challenge Actual-P accuracy with Regional Operational Controllers and plants, and generate a continuous improvement process. Furthermore, the position requires providing consolidated controlling analysis, including variance analysis, CBU budgetary control, and monitoring of projects and programs. The CBU Controller will also lead Tooling Asset Control and reconciliation by CBU, manage site operating cash flow, and control capex, assets, and overdue items. To succeed in this role, the CBU Controller must act as a business partner with Engineering and the CBU community, providing recommendations to management and supporting improvements in the CBU business model. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree and a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a controlling or CBU management position, with a preference for experience in plant controlling, program controlling, or R&D controlling. Strong communication and negotiation skills, autonomy, problem-solving abilities, and an entrepreneurial mindset are essential. The candidate should be fluent in English and possess the ability to challenge the status quo and implement effective changes to improve controlling performance.
