About the position

The University of Alabama's College of Community Health Sciences is seeking a full-time clinical faculty member for the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology. This non-tenure track position is designed to support the department's growing needs and involves a comprehensive general obstetric and gynecologic practice within a community-based academic setting. The successful candidate will join a team of five other OB/Gyn faculty members, contributing to medical education, clinical research, and patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide full spectrum general obstetric and gynecologic practice.
  • Engage in medical education and training of students and residents.
  • Participate in clinical research and scholarly activities.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary and inter-professional teams.
  • Contribute to the mission of improving health in Alabama and the region.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board-certified or an active candidate for certification by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • Excellent clinical skills and enthusiasm for medical education.
  • Interest in scholarly activity and clinical research.

Nice-to-haves

  • A track record of scholarship in a health professions or medical school environment.
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English.
  • Collaborative and entrepreneurial spirit.
