About the position

The Finance and Operations Data Analyst at Brigham & Women's Hospital (BWH) will support the Center for Clinical Investigation (CCI) by providing data and finance analytics to enhance clinical research operations. This role involves creating dashboards, reports, and conducting analyses to inform staffing, quality, and operational programs. The analyst will engage in problem-solving, data visualization, and support department leadership in decision-making processes, while also managing multiple projects and adapting to changing needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial, clinical, and scheduling analytical and reporting support for all CCI areas.
• Develop and maintain operational and financial reporting tools, including Tableau dashboards.
• Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting for clinical research activities.
• Produce and maintain management data related to operational needs and projects.
• Support new initiatives and operational decisions by analyzing key performance indicators and creating forecasts.
• Complete quality assurance procedures to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
• Monitor data collection to ensure proper storage and quality of data.
• Present analytical findings in various formats and communicate results to non-analytic audiences.
• Assist with and lead other analytical assignments and ad hoc reporting as required.
• Support clinics in ordering supplies and equipment and act as a timekeeper for UKG.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required with an interest in healthcare and data analysis.
• At least 6 months of healthcare-related experience and working with healthcare data.
• Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills required.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Tableau or similar data visualization tools.
• Familiarity with clinical research operations.
