About the position

The CCI Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring equipment and systems related to the production process, ensuring maximum capability and adherence to documented procedures. This role involves performing quality checks, maintaining equipment, and ensuring proper documentation and record-keeping while collaborating with other team members to maintain a clean and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate all equipment and systems at maximum capability according to documented process and procedures (e.g., CCI/Dryer/Batching/Evaporator systems).
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the readings on the dryer infeed and the dryer exit brix.
  • Perform tests on finished product (e.g. acid/Brix test).
  • Identify proper steady state and function of conveyors.
  • Perform operational and quality checks for the dryer and evaporator.
  • Navigate control screens successfully.
  • Unload trucks and load trucks per standard operating procedures.
  • Monitor dryer belt tracking and identify problems.
  • Perform in-process cleaning and data entry for quality assurance tracking.
  • Knowledge of controls functions (e.g. Evaporator controls functions) and processing parameters.
  • Ability to start up/shutdown processes (e.g. CIP) successfully.
  • Resolve backup issues.
  • Run multiple processes and the set points (e.g. CCIs and dryers).
  • Responsible for work order and picking location in the Warehouse Management System.
  • Input information in logs (e.g. computer or paper logs).
  • Ensure proper documentation and record keeping.
  • Communicate with other operators.
  • Keep area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition (e.g. perform 5S, manually clean equipment with chemicals and water).
  • Perform preventive maintenance as required.
  • Maintain a constant flow of fruit to the dryer and recovered syrup to the evaporator and handle and mix chemicals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management personnel.

Requirements

  • Ability to operate and monitor production equipment effectively.
  • Understanding of quality control processes and testing methods.
  • Knowledge of equipment maintenance and cleaning procedures.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members.
