About the position

The CCIE Route Switch Architect position at Arganteal, Corp. is a full-time remote contract role focused on designing and deploying Cisco Nexus-based VXLAN EVPN solutions. The architect will lead the implementation of network architectures using Cisco's Network Services Orchestrator (NDFC) and its API, ensuring optimal performance and reliability in both greenfield and brownfield environments. This role requires a deep understanding of networking protocols and the ability to provide technical leadership and mentorship to the team.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize network architectures using Cisco NDFC in both greenfield and brownfield settings.
• Develop and integrate NDFC APIs to automate network provisioning, management, and migration processes.
• Utilize deep knowledge of VXLAN EVPN protocols to enhance network scalability, flexibility, and performance.
• Implement and manage VCP Border Gateway (BGW) solutions for multi-site connectivity, ensuring seamless integration and operation.
• Apply industry best practices for NDFC functionality and behavior, ensuring optimal network performance and reliability.
• Provide expert guidance and mentorship to the team on complex network solutions and architectures.
• Diagnose and resolve advanced network issues related to NDFC, VXLAN EVPN, and VCP BGW.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to align network solutions with business objectives and project timelines.

Requirements

• Valid CCIE Route Switch certification is required (CCNP & CCNA certifications will not be considered).
• Deep knowledge and hands-on experience with NDFC API, functionality, behavior, and best practices.
• Proven experience using NDFC for both greenfield and brownfield migrations in live environments.
• Extensive experience with VXLAN EVPN protocols in large-scale deployments.
• Solid understanding and implementation experience of VCP BGW solutions for multi-site networks.
• Strong background in network design, implementation, and optimization.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with network automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ansible).
• Previous experience in a Consulting role delivering network solutions to clients.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
