This position operates in a hybrid capacity, providing onsite support as needed for CDI functions at both the division and facility levels. The specialist will interpret and analyze data related to CDI outcomes, conducting focused reviews and operational projects as defined. A key aspect of this role involves partnering with physicians to identify and support documentation improvement opportunities, necessitating a collaborative work style and effective communication with senior leadership and physician leaders across diverse work styles and personalities. The ability to work independently with minimal supervision is essential. In addition to performing all operational CDI functions consistently, the Operations Specialist will be responsible for communicating professionally and succinctly to provide education related to CDI standards. Strong organizational skills are required to prioritize needs effectively and manage day-to-day activities. The specialist will deliver education to key stakeholders, including physicians, residents, and advanced practice providers, in various settings such as meetings, rounding, and individualized sessions. They will also contribute to the development of documentation education and training resources as defined by CDI standards, review documentation data to identify clinical documentation root causes and trends, and represent CDI in multi-departmental projects with clinical documentation implications. The role requires collaboration with multi-department teams to leverage technology for physician documentation and serving as a resource for multiple hospitals within the division. Timely completion of physician queries and adherence to established standardized processes for daily tasks are also critical components of this position.
