Heartland Express is seeking dedicated CDL-A truck drivers to join our team, where we prioritize keeping you rolling in the newest and most comfortable trucks available. As a CDL-A dedicated truck driver with Heartland Express, you can expect to earn between $52,000 and $75,084 per year, with scheduled wage increases available for up to 20 years of experience. We also offer a $250 bonus after your third load is delivered, along with a Driver Pay Protection Program to cover unforeseen circumstances. Our drivers benefit from multiple bonus opportunities, including a generous $3,000 referral bonus. You will be handling dry van freight with no touch, drop and hook operations, and you will operate within a 48-state area. In addition to competitive pay, Heartland Express provides a comprehensive benefits package that includes scheduled wage increases, detention pay of $16 per hour after one hour, and paid orientation and training valued at up to $2,000. We also offer a 401(k) match, paid vacation, and access to the latest Kenworth, Freightliner, and International tractors. Our coast-to-coast terminal facilities are newly updated and remodeled, featuring free showers, laundry, TV, food, and clean driver facilities. Responsibilities

  • Drive a dedicated route with a focus on safety and efficiency.
  • Deliver freight in a timely manner while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle inspections.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
  • Ensure the truck is kept clean and in good working condition.
  • Participate in training and orientation programs as required.

Requirements

  • Class A CDL license is required.
  • Minimum of 6 months of tractor-trailer driving experience within the last year (training available).
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Proven driving record with a safety-first attitude.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with dry van freight operations.
  • Familiarity with drop and hook procedures.
