About the position

The CDL A Delivery Truck Driver at Sysco is responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer to deliver various products to customer locations on a scheduled route. This role emphasizes building relationships with customers through a positive attitude and understanding their needs, while also managing the physical demands of unloading and delivering products.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a tractor-trailer to deliver products to customer locations.
• Manually unload and deliver various products including meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, and dry goods.
• Build relationships with customers and understand their operations to meet their needs and expectations.
• Adhere to assigned route schedules and ensure timely deliveries.
• Maintain a clean driving record and comply with all safety regulations.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Ability to lift, push, or move products weighing 40-60 pounds, and up to 100 pounds repeatedly.
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.

Nice-to-haves

• 1 year of customer delivery experience preferred.
• 6 months of hand cart/hand truck experience preferred.
• 6 months of Food and Beverage experience preferred.
• 2 years of consistent work history preferred.
