About the position
Empire National Inc is seeking dedicated and experienced CDL A - OTR Team Drivers to join their fleet in Woodridge, IL. The role involves operating Class A commercial motor vehicles as a team, ensuring safety and compliance while transporting goods over designated routes.
Responsibilities
- Operate Class A commercial motor vehicles as a team, adhering to all state and federal regulations.
- Transport goods over designated routes, maintaining safety and delivery schedules.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, ensuring the vehicle's safe and reliable operation.
- Collaborate with your driving partner to effectively manage driving shifts.
- Maintain accurate records of hours of service, fuel, and delivery documentation.
- Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and team members professionally.
- Drop and hook loads on dedicated lanes.
- Uphold all safety and traffic regulations.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
- Experience as a team driver is preferred but not required.
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work cohesively with a driving partner.
- Knowledge of federal and state transportation regulations.
- Dependable, punctual, and adaptable.
