About the position
Sysco has immediate job openings for dependable CDL A Shuttle Delivery Truck Drivers to safely and efficiently operate a tractor-trailer and transport doubles (potentially triples) between Sysco facility and shuttle yards, along with other duties as assigned. The role requires the driver to be responsible for the safe transportation of goods, ensuring that deliveries are made on time and in good condition. Drivers may also be required, on an as-needed basis, to unload and deliver various products to customer locations on an assigned route schedule. This position is crucial in maintaining the flow of goods and ensuring customer satisfaction through timely deliveries. The drivers will be expected to adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while on the road and during loading and unloading operations. Additionally, the role may involve physical demands such as lifting, pushing, or moving products weighing an average of 40-60 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a tractor-trailer to transport goods between Sysco facilities and shuttle yards.
- Unload and deliver various products to customer locations as needed.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while driving and during loading/unloading operations.
- Maintain a clean driving record and comply with all traffic laws and regulations.
- Complete necessary paperwork and documentation related to deliveries and vehicle maintenance.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Must submit to a pre-employment drug screen.
- Doubles/Triples Endorsement preferred.
