About the position
Point Dedicated is seeking experienced CDL A Company Drivers for solo or team positions. The role offers competitive pay, consistent freight, and a supportive work environment where drivers are treated like family. Drivers can expect to run routes primarily between Texas and Michigan or New York, with a focus on maintaining a steady workload and home time.
Responsibilities
- Drive safely and efficiently to transport freight between designated locations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
- Maintain communication with dispatch regarding load status and any issues that arise during transport.
- Complete necessary paperwork and logs as required by DOT regulations.
- Ensure the truck is in good working condition and report any maintenance issues promptly.
Requirements
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record.
- Experience as a commercial driver, preferably with a minimum of 1 year of driving experience.
- Ability to operate a tractor-trailer and handle freight safely and efficiently.
- Strong communication skills to interact with dispatch and other team members.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with no-touch freight operations.
- Familiarity with long-haul routes, particularly between TX, MI, and NY.
