About the position
Larlham Landscape Co. is looking for a dependable and organized Class A truck driver to join their busy landscape construction team. The role requires a driver who can ensure safe and accurate deliveries while demonstrating physical and mental stamina. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and efficient, with a clean driving record.
Responsibilities
- Operate and safely drive assigned vehicle.
- Drive various trucks including 6-wheel, 10-wheel, and trailer dumps hauling materials and equipment.
- Pull a towed weight exceeding 10,000 lbs.
- Ensure trailer hitch is properly and securely attached to tractor unit.
- Secure contents to prevent breakage or damage during transport.
- Safely handle and unload goods at selected destinations.
- Confirm shipment load contents match the manifest document.
- Perform vehicle inspections before and after each trip.
- Check weather conditions and road reports before departure.
- Maintain and service vehicle as needed (refuel, change oil, tire pressure, repairs, etc.).
- Notify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered.
Requirements
- Valid CDL-A license.
- Clean driving record.
- Physical and mental stamina for driving and handling goods.
- Detail-oriented and efficient work ethic.
