About the position

Classic Carriers is seeking dedicated CDL A Truck Drivers to join our family-owned and operated team based in Versailles, Ohio. We offer a competitive pay structure that allows drivers to choose their earning potential, with base pay starting at $.53 CPM for all miles, and the opportunity to earn up to $.63 CPM with bonuses. Our drivers enjoy full benefits starting after just 30 days of employment, including a $5,000 sign-on bonus for those with 2+ years of experience, and a $1,500 sign-on bonus for new drivers. We also provide yearly pay increases, a quarterly safety bonus, and additional pay for layovers, detention, and weekend deliveries. Our fleet consists of 2019 or newer Freightliner Cascadia trucks equipped with modern amenities to ensure a comfortable driving experience. Home time varies based on location, with drivers living in Ohio, Indiana, and West Virginia typically being out for 5.5 days and home for 1.5 days. All positions are OTR (Over The Road), providing a dynamic and rewarding driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive assigned routes safely and efficiently across the 48 contiguous states.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and vehicle service.
• Ensure compliance with all DOT regulations and company policies.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Handle paperwork related to deliveries and pickups.

Requirements

• Valid CDL Class A license.
• No DUI's in the last 7 years.
• No more than 5 jobs in the last 3 years.
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
• No more than 1 minor accident in the last 3 years.
• No speeding tickets that are 15 miles over in the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
• Complete an agility test.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with OTR driving.
• Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs).
• Strong communication skills.
