About the position
Class A Drivers enjoy an average salary of $110,000+, with hourly pay and $0.80 per mile paid weekly. They can earn overtime after 8 hours and receive a per diem of $25 per route plus $1.04 for every additional hour over 24. Routes available are team routes, and drivers must be willing to run these routes, with an average time out of 24-26 hours. The position offers consecutive days off and a stable set bid schedule.
Responsibilities
- Safely and professionally operate a commercial motor vehicle and company equipment.
- Courteously deliver products to valued customers.
- Unload and deliver products to local customers.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment and vehicle.
- Securely operate Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) and/or Material Handling Equipment (MHE) such as electric pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 1 plus years of Class A commercial driving experience or equivalent driving experience in the military.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License.
- Must be able to lift products from 25 pounds to 50 pounds on a regular basis and up to 170 pounds.
