About the position
The CDL Delivery Driver - Class A position at Capitol Materials involves safely operating a commercial motor vehicle to deliver building materials to various job sites. The role emphasizes compliance with company policies and federal regulations while ensuring excellent customer service. The driver will be responsible for loading and unloading materials, maintaining safety standards, and keeping accurate records of deliveries.
Responsibilities
- Inspect truck/trailer for defects for safe operation.
- Safely load building materials onto flatbed or boom truck and unload products at commercial and residential job sites.
- Deliver materials to assigned area as directed by the customer while prioritizing personal safety and the safety of those around you.
- Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations.
- Report all accidents involving driver or company equipment.
- Lift heavy building materials up to 80 lbs. for load/unload.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional attitude.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
- Class A License required.
- Clear three (3) year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
- Overall knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations.
