About the position

CHS Inc. is seeking a CDL Driver/Operations Specialist in Strasburg, ND. This hybrid role involves both driving and operational responsibilities, providing a diverse work experience. The position includes loading and unloading agricultural products, performing maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Responsibilities

• Prepare trucks and railcars for loading/unloading, including sampling and securing loads.
• Load and unload agricultural inputs using machinery and equipment.
• Conduct repairs and maintenance tasks, recording them appropriately.
• Inspect equipment regularly and maintain inventory quality.
• Deliver products such as fertilizer and feed to customer sites safely and professionally.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws regarding transportation and safety.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in work areas and vehicles.
• Perform grounds maintenance and warehouse work, including forklift operation.
• Report customer complaints and safety concerns to supervisors.
• Promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies.

Requirements

• Knowledge of Operations and/or Trucking Operations.
• Must meet minimum age requirement.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to obtain a CDL and DOT medical card.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Ability to work additional hours and occasional weekends.

Nice-to-haves

• Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements preferred.
• Valid Class A CDL preferred.
• Agriculture background preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Bulk liquid, Pressure trailer, or Forklift experience preferred.
