About The Position

The CDL Residential Driver is responsible for safely operating a heavy-duty truck to perform assigned duties on transfer routes. This role involves adhering to safety regulations, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, and ensuring efficient route management while providing excellent customer service.

Requirements

• Must possess a Commercial Drivers License B (CDL).
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must successfully complete pre-employment DOT drug screen, physical, and background check.
• Acceptable driving record is required.

Nice To Haves

• Class A or B with Airbrake endorsement.
• Bus driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a heavy-duty truck on transfer routes.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle using the Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR).
• Report any unsafe situations or service calls to the Route Manager or Dispatch.
• Participate in scheduled training and meetings as required by the Route Manager.
• Work closely with Route Managers to improve route efficiencies and identify unsafe accounts.
• Assist other company drivers as directed by the Route Manager or Dispatch.
• Notify the Route Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
• Communicate customer requests or issues to Dispatch or Route Manager.
• Ensure all containers are completely dumped and the customer's location is clean.
• Position containers properly on the customer's property to avoid blocking entrances or traffic.
• Follow route assignments and complete all documentation at the end of the route.
