About the position

As a Service Technician at AmeriGas, you will be responsible for installing and repairing propane tanks for both residential and commercial customers. This role emphasizes safety and customer service, ensuring that all operations comply with federal and state regulations. You will operate a service vehicle, perform repairs, and occasionally deliver propane, contributing to the company's mission of providing reliable propane services across the United States.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a propane service vehicle with lift gate and boom along provided service routes
• Perform repairs on existing propane tanks for commercial and residential customers
• Install new propane tanks/systems for commercial and residential customers
• Perform Delivery Representative functions, such as delivering bulk or canister propane as needed
• Adhere to all federal and state codes and regulations in addition to all AmeriGas Safety and Operations Policies and Procedures
• Consistently use required Personal Protective Equipment
• Work 8 to 12-hour shifts depending on fluctuating needs

Requirements

• Valid class A or B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements
• Acceptable driving record
• Satisfactory completion of a DOT physical, drug test, and background check
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to lift up to 70lbs
