About the position

The CDL Truck Driver position at CRH involves operating various commercial vehicles to deliver materials and equipment to construction sites and customers in the Butte and Anaconda areas. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and compliance with regulations while providing opportunities for training and professional development. Responsibilities

  • Operate trucks delivering materials to construction and customer sites in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Check delivery tickets for special instructions prior to arriving on the job.
  • Ensure proper materials are loaded in a safe manner and obtain proper signatures as required.
  • Respond to customer questions related to basic product knowledge and basic construction techniques.
  • Water roads and plant facilities to control dust.
  • Work with grade and pave crews and place water on grade rock for compaction reasons.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspection of vehicle to ensure safe operational order.
  • Be able to climb in and out of truck safely using 3-points of contact.
  • Monitor various gauges during operation of vehicle and perform operator maintenance and minor field repairs.
  • Maintain vehicle in a clean and orderly condition, inside and out.
  • Maintain operator logs, timecards, mileage sheets, and records in accordance with company policy.
  • Maintain communication with Dispatcher regarding deliveries and check delivery tickets for special instructions.
  • May operate front end loader or other equipment as needed.
  • Participate in and promote an inclusive work environment.

Requirements

  • Valid Class A or B CDL unrestricted and current DOT medical card.
  • Safety minded professional who demonstrates good performance, attendance, and punctuality.
  • Demonstrates the willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to work and communicate well with Supervisors, Truck Drivers, Heavy Equipment Operators, and other employees.
  • Ability to conform to and maintain OSHA, MSHA, DOT and all other company or state rules and regulations.
  • Must pass pre-employment physical exam and pre-employment-controlled substance testing.
  • Must have current US Authorization to work or ability to obtain without company assistance prior to start date.
