About The Position

The CEHS Assistant Director of Communications at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is responsible for enhancing the visibility and reputation of the College of Education and Human Sciences through strategic marketing and communications efforts. This role involves engaging with alumni, collaborating with university staff, and supporting various marketing initiatives to promote the college's mission and achievements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, graphic design, or related field.
• Three (3) years of professional experience in a marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, graphic design or related field; equivalent education/experience considered.
• Developed skills implementing integrated marketing practices.
• Demonstrated leadership ability in planning, marketing, and communication strategies for a variety of communication platforms including publications, websites, social media, and email campaigns.

Nice To Haves

• Five (5) years of experience in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, graphic design or a related field.
• Experience working in higher education.
• Familiarity with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln brand.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to engage with alumni through regular communications, including sharing stories and alumni through the CEHS website and social media channels.
• Collaborate with University Foundation staff to create and disseminate messaging related to external engagement for the college.
• Assist with promotion of CEHS to internal and external audiences as assigned by the CEHS Director of Communications.
