About the position

The CEI Senior Project Engineer at CDR Maguire is responsible for providing supervision and engineering/construction management support for projects in Districts 4 and 6, specifically in the Palm Beach and Miami areas. This role involves directing complex construction engineering administration and inspection programs, planning and organizing work for subordinate staff, and ensuring compliance with departmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Direct highly complex and specialized construction engineering administration and inspection program.
• Plan and organize the work of subordinate and staff members.
• Develop and/or review policies, methods, practices, and procedures.
• Review programs for conformance with Department standards.

Requirements

• Civil Engineering degree
• P.E. license in the state of Florida (or ability to obtain registration in Florida within six months of employment)
• Prior relevant work experience in the Tampa or Orlando area
• Five (5) years of Senior Project Engineer experience
• Overall ten (10) years of related engineering experience
• Minimum of two (2) years of related experience in major road or bridge construction
• Five (5) years in major bridge construction
• Ability to communicate effectively in English verbally and in writing
• Attend the CTQP Quality Control Manager course and pass the examination
• Certifications: FDOT Advanced MOT
