About the position

The CEI Senior Project Engineer will manage the Construction Inspection business for transportation projects in the central region of Florida. This role involves overseeing project performance, managing contracts, and ensuring quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) for construction projects. The position also includes responsibilities for marketing, business development, and maintaining client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for marketing and business development for transportation construction projects within the central region of Florida
• Manages contracts, including invoicing and financial management, as well as project management and overall project performance
• Responsible for project QA/QC in the assigned region
• Manage internal JMT staff and subconsultants
• Participate in client presentations
• Maintains and builds client relationships
• Prepare technical and price proposals
• Hires, trains, develops, and conducts performance reviews for staff
• Assists design disciplines with constructability questions/issues
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Six (6) years of engineering experience
• Two (2) years involved in relevant transportation projects
• A Master's Degree in Engineering may be substituted for one (1) year of engineering experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) registered in the State of Florida
• Ability to obtain endorsement in the State of Florida within six months of Project NTP if registered in another state
• FDOT Advanced MOT
• CTQP Quality Control Manager (Attend and pass the examination)

• Experience with Complex Category 2 (CC2) and PTS bridge structures
