About the position

The CEI Senior Project Engineer at Neel-Schaffer is responsible for directing complex construction engineering administration and inspection programs. This role involves planning and organizing team efforts, developing and reviewing policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with department standards. The position is based in Chipley, Florida, and requires a strong focus on client engagement and project management.

Responsibilities

• Direct highly complex and specialized construction engineering administration and inspection programs.
• Plan and organize the work of team members.
• Develop and review policies, methods, practices, and procedures.
• Review programs for conformance with department standards.
• Engage with clients as project needs dictate.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registered in the State of Florida or ability to obtain endorsement within six months of employment.
• Six years of engineering experience with two years in relevant transportation projects.
• Master's degree in Engineering may substitute for one year of engineering experience.
• Five years of experience for Complex Category 2 (CC2) and PTS bridge structures may be considered.
• Ability to interact and engage with clients as project needs dictate.
• Valid driver's license.

Nice-to-haves

• FDOT Advanced MOT certification preferred, or ability to acquire within 6 months of employment.
• CTQP Quality Control Manager certification preferred, or ability to acquire within 6 months of employment.
• CTQP Final Estimates 1 & 2 preferred, or ability to acquire within 6 months of employment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Strong verbal communication and analytical skills.
