About the position

The position is for a dedicated engineer with approximately 10 years of experience to join Apple's system engineering team, focusing on modem systems features and requirements. Responsibilities

• Design and simulate innovative wireless communication E2E features for 4G/5G and proprietary air interfaces.
• Collaborate with digital designers and firmware developers to realize control and signal processing algorithms.

Requirements

• BS degree and 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
• In-depth knowledge of wireless communication systems, communication system theory, and signal processing.
• Experience with Matlab, C/C++, and/or Python for algorithm development, modeling, and link-level simulation.
• Knowledge of cellular communication standards: 5GNR, 4G LTE.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in modem chipset design and bring-up.
• Familiarity with NR/LTE key RRC signaling flows, mobility, and cell search and measurement features.
