As a vital member of our team, you will participate in the essential tasks of openings and closings for interments, entombments, inurnments, and disinterments, as well as the installation of memorials and markers. This role is crucial in ensuring that our facilities are maintained to the highest standards, reflecting our commitment to honoring the lives of those we serve. You will be responsible for performing grounds and facilities maintenance, which is integral to the overall appearance and functionality of our cemetery grounds. Your responsibilities will include performing openings and closings for burials, entombments, and inurnments, as well as setting, installing, and assembling foundations, memorials, and markers. You will also be tasked with installing outer burial containers and handling work orders from client families regarding individual grave and marker maintenance. Responding to service requests and conducting interment verification procedures will be part of your daily activities, ensuring that all operations are carried out smoothly and respectfully. In addition to these duties, you will conduct a 25-foot radius preparation for burials, ensuring that the area is clean and neat. You will fill graves, tamp, seed, or sod as necessary, adhering to all company safety rules and universal precautions. Regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and facilities will be required to maintain and protect company assets. You will also be expected to maintain a clean and orderly work area, complete Dignity University courses and other training as assigned, and adhere to all standards of the Dignity Memorial Promise. This position may also involve performing other duties as assigned by management, making it a dynamic and engaging role.
