About the position

The Center for Economic and Social Justice (CESJ) Program Director at Roxbury Community College (RCC) is responsible for overseeing and operationalizing CESJ programs aimed at advancing economic and social justice within the community. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to create initiatives that support RCC students in achieving sustainable careers, while also addressing broader community needs through partnerships and programming focused on economic mobility.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise all CESJ programming, staff, and service partnerships.
  • Work with team members to co-create and implement an iterative cycle for CESJ programming that advances economic and social justice.
  • Maintain an asset-based approach to working with the community, partners, and internal RCC stakeholders.
  • Oversee all CESJ grants and funding in partnership with appropriate staff to ensure timely reporting, assessments, and sound fiscal management.
  • Assist in identifying, engaging, and aligning potential programmatic partners for RCC and CESJ.
  • Co-create impact assessments and support initiatives through adoption of shared metrics.
  • Support marketing, communications, and community engagement activities.
  • Support fundraising activities including grant writing, donor stewardship, and sponsorships.
  • Work with the Executive Director, program staff, and other internal and external stakeholders to develop a CESJ policy agenda and/or public statements.
  • Oversee the successful facilitation of community events that advance CESJ priorities.
  • Contribute to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and the development of skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the CESJ by performing all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
  • At least four years of relevant experience is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills are required.
  • Knowledge of program development, management, and assessment is required.
  • Computer literacy is required.
  • Experience effectively leading teams and working with diverse stakeholders is key for this position.
  • The ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds is required.
  • Knowledge of Collective Impact and Results Based Accountability is a plus.
