About the position

The Center Manager in Training position at BioLife Plasma Services is designed for senior leaders looking to enhance their management skills while contributing to the mission of improving the lives of patients with rare diseases. This role involves participating in an advanced leadership development program that includes extensive travel to various plasma centers across the country, with the goal of preparing for a Plasma Center Operations Manager position. The program emphasizes continuous learning, team management, and exceptional customer service, all within a supportive and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in an advanced leadership development program with extensive travel to plasma centers.
  • Cultivate a positive team environment and motivate a diverse team of employees.
  • Provide employee feedback, conduct performance reviews, and support team members' development.
  • Network and build relationships across BioLife to facilitate career advancement.
  • Create a positive donor experience to retain donors and assist with production as needed.
  • Provide operational support and conduct management training in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience leading medium to large teams (20+ direct reports).
  • Ability to travel up to 90-100% during the Trainee Program.
  • Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Valid driver's license for the entire duration of the program.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 32 lbs. and occasionally 50 lbs.
  • Fine motor coordination and ability to hear equipment from a distance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree.
  • Experience working with SOPs, GDP, GMP, CLIA, and the FDA.
  • Experience in a highly regulated or high-volume retail environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, technical, and leadership skills.
