About the position

The Center Store Manager is responsible for the effective management of the Center Store Department, ensuring that customer needs are met and exceeded. This role involves overseeing product conditions, optimizing sales and profits, and enhancing customer satisfaction. The manager provides leadership to associates, promotes a positive work culture, and focuses on training and development to enable career advancement. Additionally, the Center Store Manager is tasked with managing department performance to optimize overall store performance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure customer needs are met and exceeded through effective management of the Center Store Department.
• Oversee product conditions, inventory, schematics, and pricing to optimize sales and profits.
• Provide leadership and direction to Center Store associates.
• Promote a culture reflective of Lucky's mission statement and winning behaviors.
• Train and develop associates for their success and career advancement.
• Manage department performance and productivity to optimize store performance.

Requirements

• Two-year college degree or equivalent knowledge through formal education, specialized training, or additional job experience.
• Completion of Assistant Center Store Manager rotation or two years equivalent management experience.
• Current experience as Bakery Department Manager, Meat Department Manager, or Produce Department Manager is acceptable.
• Must be available to work a variety of required retail hours.
• Must be forklift certified.
