About the position

This position is responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations of a plasma center and its staff to ensure efficient plasma collections. The role involves compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), providing clear instructions, conducting meetings, and managing employee relations. The supervisor will also facilitate donor movement, monitor staffing levels, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily operations of the plasma center and staff.
  • Provide clear instructions and conduct meetings to communicate performance expectations.
  • Advise management on employee relations and escalated donor issues.
  • Facilitate donor movement throughout the center to minimize wait times.
  • Ensure adequate staffing based on center size and donor flow.
  • Monitor time card reporting, attendance, and overtime utilization.
  • Conduct error investigations and recommend process improvements.
  • Assist in performance appraisals and provide feedback to staff.
  • Document corrective actions as needed with management review.
  • Maintain up-to-date employee training files and assist with performance evaluations.
  • Assist in recruitment and selection of center operation staff.
  • Promote compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Assist in developing marketing initiatives to increase donor retention.
  • Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic management system.
  • Maintain a clean and efficient work environment with sufficient supplies.
  • Comply with Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) and OSHA policies.
  • Conduct routine internal audits and promote safety in all actions.
  • Maintain confidentiality of personnel and donor information.
  • Cross-train in all technical areas and other functions as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency required.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and professional work experience preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year supervisory or leadership experience overseeing activities of others required.
