About the position

The Environmental Customer Service Representative at Clean Harbors is responsible for supporting the Technical Services team by providing exceptional customer service and managing customer inquiries. This role emphasizes health and safety, teamwork, and quality service, ensuring timely resolution of customer issues and effective order management.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service when managing customer inquiries and service needs via phone, email, and online platform.
  • Ensure timely resolution to any customer issues.
  • Accomplish detailed and thorough order management tasks including account setup, waste profile, routing, pricing, and invoice issues.
  • Promote all Clean Harbors services and interact with sales and operations personnel to relay customer feedback/service issues.
  • Manage all accounts, including proactive and reactive calling in accordance with department procedures.
  • Maintain data integrity of the proactive call and milkrun program.
  • Perform Central Customer Service activities such as account setup/modifications, profile creation, quoting/agreements, scheduling, and resolving compliance issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Environmental Science preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with flexibility to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Windows Office-based applications.
