About the position
The Central Florida Market Leader for Transportation at Mott MacDonald will oversee and develop the Transportation/Highways design group in the Central Florida region. This leadership role involves project management, engineering design, and collaboration across various disciplines to enhance Mott MacDonald's presence in the area, with potential growth to lead statewide initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Transportation/Highways design group in Central Florida.
- Manage project staff and design consultants to ensure projects are on budget and schedule.
- Perform engineering design and review duties on transportation/highways projects.
- Support integrated cross-discipline teams in solving complex technical problems.
- Prepare designs and calculations for rail and transit engineering projects.
- Gather and maintain records of engineering data and field data.
- Participate in establishing short and long-term plans for the transportation/highways practice.
- Engage in internal and external development and training activities.
Requirements
- Experience in civil engineering infrastructure projects, particularly in transportation/highways.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage budgets and schedules.
- Proficiency in engineering design and technical reviews.
- Ability to lead cross-discipline teams and solve complex technical problems.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in rail and transit engineering projects.
