About the position
The Central Monitoring Technician in Inpatient Teleservices is responsible for maintaining the integrity of continuous monitoring for patients requiring remote video and cardiac rhythm surveillance. This part-time role involves real-time monitoring of patients' heart rhythms and interpreting dysrhythmias under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.
Responsibilities
- Provide constant, real-time video monitoring of patients.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret dysrhythmias as directed by a Registered Nurse.
- Ensure the integrity of continuous monitoring systems.
- Report any abnormalities or concerns to the nursing staff promptly.
Requirements
- High school diploma required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate required within six months of hire.
- Previous hospital experience preferred.
- National Telemetry Certification through the National Telemetry Association strongly preferred.
