About the position

The Central Office and Data Center Technician L4 at Contel Inc is responsible for advanced installation and maintenance of telecommunications equipment within central offices, MSOs, and data centers. This role requires a high level of expertise and experience, particularly in handling complex installations and modifications of equipment and circuits. The technician will also oversee installation projects and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.

Responsibilities

• Complete all requirements of Level 1, 2, and 3 Installers.
• Perform as the Installation Supplier's in-charge person.
• Execute additions, removals, and modifications on working equipment and circuits.
• Conduct circuit modifications and software additions or upgrades.
• Perform power transition work and manage battery additions or removals.
• Handle the addition or removal of circuits on working power distribution sources.
• Conduct equipment testing and turn-up.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience installing telecommunications equipment within a central office, MSO, or data center.
• Ability to perform complex installations and modifications on working equipment and circuits.
• Proficiency in circuit modifications and software upgrades.
• Experience in power transition work and battery management.
