About the position

The Central Operations Resource Program Manager (NRPSM2) at the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department (OPRD) is responsible for leading and managing the Central Operations Resource Program. This role involves ensuring consistent statewide practices across various sections, including Ocean Shores Forestry, Natural Resources, Cultural Resources, Historic Resources, Facilities, Fleet, and Volunteer Services. The position requires a strong focus on stakeholder engagement, compliance, and regulatory oversight, contributing to the mission of protecting and providing access to Oregon's natural and recreational resources.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Central Operations Resource Program.
  • Ensure consistent statewide practices across various sections.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relations with stakeholders.
  • Advocate and interpret agency values related to natural and cultural resources.
  • Correlate statewide and regional plans to achieve agency strategic goals.
  • Provide project and team oversight within park properties.
  • Administer a complex regulatory permitting program.
  • Manage, support, and lead change within the organization.
  • Facilitate meetings to build consensus and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Six years of supervision, management, or progressively related experience; OR three years of related experience and a bachelor's degree.
  • Valid driver's license at the time of hire and throughout employment.
  • Criminal record and driving record check that meets OPRD criteria.
