About the position

MBC is seeking dedicated Childcare Workers for its Staff Childcare Program, which is designed to assist employees with their childcare needs. This part-time position operates on Tuesdays through Thursdays from 9 am to 4 pm, providing a structured environment for children aged 3 months to 4 years. The role is crucial in creating a safe, engaging, and Christ-centered atmosphere where children can thrive and learn about their faith. The compensation for this position is set at $15 per hour, reflecting the importance of the role in supporting the families of MBC employees. As a Childcare Worker, you will be responsible for caring for young children, ensuring their safety and well-being while fostering a fun and nurturing environment. This includes engaging children through various activities such as reading, crafts, and videos that promote their understanding of Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. Additionally, you will be tasked with setting up and resetting rooms to accommodate different programs, maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of toys and play areas, and adhering to established Child Safety policies to ensure a secure environment for all children. This position not only requires a passion for working with children but also a commitment to upholding the values of the organization, particularly in fostering a Christ-centered approach to childcare. The ideal candidate will be someone who is not only experienced in childcare but also shares a personal faith in Jesus Christ, contributing to the spiritual development of the children in their care.

Responsibilities

  • Caring for children between the ages of 3 months and 4 years old.
  • Providing a safe, fun, Christ-centered environment.
  • Encouraging children to embrace Jesus Christ as their personal Savior through reading, videos, crafts, and other means.
  • Setting up and resetting rooms to accommodate other programs as needed.
  • Ensuring toys and rooms are clean and left in an orderly fashion.
  • Adhering to Child Safety policies.

Requirements

  • 2 years' experience working with children is preferred.
  • Stay-at-home parents and applicants with babysitting and daycare experience are encouraged to apply.
  • First Aid and CPR certified preferred, but training will be provided.
  • Must have made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.
  • Must be physically and cognitively able to carry out the responsibilities of the job.
